Christina Ettestad
Christina is an experienced leader who inspires and supports her internal teams with training and mentorship. She understands the importance of enhancing professional development and personal growth, both directly and indirectly managing staff towards these goals. Christina's excellent relationship management skills enable her to build and maintain strong ties with key clients and sponsors. As a Native Minnesotan with a focus on community organization and change, Christina has developed a strong sense of devotion to the nonprofit sector. Her extensive experience as a volunteer and employee for Girl Scouts River Valleys has given her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve quality youth programming. Christina's work as an Independent Caregiver through GT Independence has also equipped her with valuable skills in working with youth with various abilities and building relationships within her community. Through her various professional skills, Christina brings with her countless years of management and youth programming to provide a keen sense of support throughout non-profit organizations.

Vice President
Lisa Forslund
Lisa has her Doctoral Degree in Nursing and is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner. She is born and raised in Chisago City, MN and practices at the MHealth Fairview Chisago Lakes Clinic. She thrives in helping people achieve and maintain health through their lifespan. In addition, to working full time, she volunteers at church and is a Kindergarten Catechist. She enjoys working with individuals throughout the age span and specifically enjoys working with children. She comes with organizational skills, communication skills, and dedication to supporting families. She strives to provide a welcoming and warm environment. You will see her at the gym with her 3 girls. Ask any questions you may have and she will likely know the answer or get the answer for you.

Treasurer
Chi Ngo
Chi, a dedicated mother of two, earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. By day, she excels as a payroll specialist, bringing precision and insight into effective communication and human behavior to her role. Her passion for the outdoors inspires her family to embark on hiking and camping adventures, fostering a shared love for nature. As the Treasurer of the Jungle Gymnastics Team Booster Club, Chi leverages her strong communication skills and financial expertise to ensure transparency, efficiency, and collaboration in managing the club's funds. Her dedication to the club's mission and proactive approach to teamwork and stewardship make her an invaluable asset to the organization.

Teams Coordinator
Jessica Beuning
Jessica's passion for teaching and her dedication towards her community are truly inspiring. As a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University with a degree in Elementary Education, she is eager to explore new opportunities and contribute her skills to make a difference. With her determination and expertise, she hopes to bring positive changes to the non-profit community and provide her students with the best possible learning experience. Her commitment towards professional growth and development is a testament to her unwavering spirit, and we are confident that she will excel in every step of her journey. With Jessica’s deep connections within the community and through her experience as an educator she hopes to build a fun and engaging fundraising experience for both youth and families as a whole.

Assitant Teams Coordinator
Kristina Griggs
Kristina brings a wealth of experience to her role as Assistant Teams Coordinator for the Jungle Gymnastics Team Booster Club. With a background as an Accounting Analyst, she has honed skills in research, financial management, and customer service, using tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to ensure smooth operations. Kristina’s previous volunteer work as a Fundraising Director for booster clubs has deepened her expertise in organizing and executing successful fundraising initiatives. Holding an Associate of Science in Accounting from Anoka Ramsey Community College and a Law Enforcement degree from Minnesota State University - Mankato, Kristina combines her strong managerial experience with a passion for supporting the club’s mission and fostering team success.

Director of Fundraising

The Director of Fundraising for the Jungle Gymnastics Booster Club is responsible for planning, executing, and managing fundraising initiatives that support the team’s goals. Primary responsibilities include:

Fundraising Strategy and Planning: Research, develop, and propose various fundraising opportunities that align with the club’s financial goals. Coordinate with the board to select and implement approved initiatives that are both impactful and manageable.

Tax Law Compliance: Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with applicable tax laws and regulations. This includes adherence to 501(c)(3) guidelines, if applicable, and proper documentation of all fundraising efforts for transparency and reporting purposes.

Budgeting and Financial Tracking: Work closely with the Treasurer to set clear fundraising targets and manage budgets for each fundraiser. Track all incoming donations and funds to ensure they meet financial goals and are accurately reported.

Event Execution and Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of each fundraiser, including coordinating volunteer support, securing any necessary permits, and organizing materials or promotional efforts.

Communication and Promotion: Inform club members and families of upcoming fundraising events, clearly outlining participation opportunities and financial goals. Use email, social media, newsletters, and other channels to keep everyone up-to-date and engaged.

Community Partnerships and Sponsorships: Research and approach local businesses and community partners to secure sponsorships or donations. Build and maintain positive relationships with sponsors to foster ongoing support.

Record Keeping and Reporting: Document all fundraising activities, donations, and sponsorships, providing the board with updates on progress and results. Prepare summaries and insights to guide future fundraising strategies.
This role is crucial for generating financial support and helping the club meet its operational and program goals, ensuring a strong foundation for the success of our gymnasts.

Secretary

The Secretary of the Jungle Gymnastics Booster Club is responsible for supporting effective communication and organization within the club. Key duties include:

Meeting Notifications and Scheduling: Notify board members of upcoming meetings and schedule them on the club calendar at least 10 days in advance to ensure ample preparation time for all.

Agenda Coordination: Collaborate with the President and Vice President to outline and finalize the agenda for each meeting, ensuring all essential topics are covered.

Meeting Minutes: Record, organize, and distribute detailed minutes for each meeting, capturing key discussions, decisions, and action items. Send the minutes to all board members promptly after each meeting for reference and accountability.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all club documents, including meeting minutes, bylaw amendments, and important communications, making these accessible as needed.

Club Correspondence: Serve as the main point of contact for club communications, managing and distributing announcements, updates, and reminders to members and families.

Support and Coordination: Assist other board members with administrative tasks as needed and help maintain an organized and efficient workflow within the club.
